Dreamland BBQ Tuscaloosa, Alabama – Brad Nevin

Ain’t Nothing Like ‘Em Nowhere!!…and that’s a fact. Directly from my hometown of Tuscaloosa, AL comes some of the best ribs and sauce you dreamland bbqwill find in the country. The original Dreamland is an old run down building with license plates from all over, mainly AL of course, adorning the walls. If you don’t know where it is, you might not find it too easily…but when you do you are in for a treat. Ribs, white bread and sauce along with a cold beer or a coke…that’s about all you have to choose from at the original location and that’s all you need. The ribs are not falling off the bone like Fatt Matt’s in Atlanta for example, and that is what I like about it. I grew up working hard to gnaw all the meat off of those rib bones, and when you skin one right, you are rewarded. Sopping up a little bbq sauce with a piece of white bread is the perfect compliment to the ribs…Dreamland’s sauce is runny and spicy, and will make you sweat for sure! I love going home on game weekends and seeing fans from other rival SEC teams wrist-deep in a plate of Dreamland…it just goes to show that we are all the same deep down. So, come on down to Tuscaloosa, AL for a little Dreamland BBQ and hard-hitting SEC football this fall…ROLL TIDE!!

Dreamland has AL locations in Tuscaloosa, Northport, Mobile, Montgomery, Birmingham and Huntsville. GA locations include Roswell and Norcross.

Several years ago I stopped doing ribs. Could newer get it right.
Today I realized that mine were not that bad.
    Will Never eat there again!
The place is worth going to but just have a beer and go somewhere else for food.
    Mac Rib is much Better!

You’ve got to be kidding me! Dreamland has the worst ribs and Pulled Pork I have ever eaten. Save your money and move on down to Archibald’s(the real deal one) and eat on some good ‘Q.
