BBQ at the Masters
BBQ at the Masters….that just has a ring to it as if it was a “last meal request” or if you were trying to compile a “perfect day list”.
I have to say, overall the sandwich was enjoyable…and the view was nearly perfect, but I think next year, I will stick with the delicious egg salad sandwiches and maybe a few pimento cheese. Overall, it was not (and I did not expect it to be) on par with the Moes, 12 Bones, or the Fox Brothers of the world…but it was one of the most enjoyable BBQ sandwiches I have had in a long time, especially if you take into account the weather, setting and price (2.25 if I remember correctly). If you have not been to Augusta to witness one the most beautiful courses in the world…you should go next year and if you want a bbq fix give one of these sandwiches a try.
For you Moonpie fans….I thought you would enjoy this picture of the Mini Masters Moonpies.
being the BBQ nerd that I am…I saved the sandwich label just in case any of you would like to try to replicate a Masters BBQ pork sandwich…enjoy
