Moe’s Original Bar B Que and Blues Revue is proud to announce its opening at 731 29th Street South in the former Lakeview Oyster House location in Birmingham, AL. Featuring award-winning Bama-style BBQ smoked over hard wood served with two unique sauces, the restaurant also prepares eight to ten traditional Southern sides and tasty desserts. The Lakeview space offers the best in patio dining with a homey feel in the newly remodeled early 1900s house complete with flat screen TVs throughout and live music in the evenings. Additionally, the private room upstairs holds up to 60 and is perfect for special events and corporate lunches.

“We believe that this new location of Moe’s Original Bar B Que and Blues Revue in Lakeview is an opportunity for us to blend together our concept of good Southern que and music. With this location in the very popular entertainment district in Birmingham, we’re really excited to bring in live music for our Moe’s fans,” says co-owner Kevin Witherington. “Although we are grateful for the awesome nine years in which we operated as Lakeview Oyster House, as business owners, we were ready to really push this new opportunity given to us with Moe’s Original Bar B Que.”
Moe’s Original Bar B Que was founded in 2001 in Vail, Colorado by three Alabamians: Mike Fernandez from Tuscaloosa, Ben Gilbert from Athens, and Jeff Kennedy from Huntsville. Moe’s Original BBQ smokes all meat fresh daily as taught by Tuscaloosa legend Moses Day. Moe’s has eight other locations that include Denver, Eagle and Vail, Colorado, Daphne, Orange Beach, Vestavia Hills, Hoover and Birmingham, Alabama. All Moe’s start serving at 11am and accommodate large party takeout orders, full service catering and delivery.
