The best thing I can say about this restaurant is that it offers a swine glutton’s wet dream: an all-you-can-eat rib buffet. This place is not much to look at from the outside or inside. When you walk inside the first thing you notice is the massive buffet stand in the middle of the main dining room. The buffet consists of, of course, ribs, fried chicken, sausage and a couple of other meats like beef tips. The vegetables include your standard Southern fare: collards, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans, cabbage etc.

The 2 times I have visited this place in the last couple of years, I have eaten off the buffet. The ribs come covered in their generic, thick BBQ sauce. The ribs are meaty and are somewhat tender but do require a little bit of work getting the meat off the bone. I hate having to jerk and pull on a rib only to have sauce slung all over my clothes. These ribs weren’t that tough but I felt the need to place a napkin over my shirt. The greens were fine once I added some pepper sauce, and the mac and cheese needed more cheese in my opinion…overall the sides were ok. They offered some good looking desserts, and I had just a bite of a peanut butter pie that was rich, creamy and tasty.
If you are traveling in this area and want to strap on your feedbag and tackle a rib buffet, you could do a lot worse than this place. They’ve been in business for a long time so obviously they don’t suck. If you’re interested in a BBQ joint that pays more attention to detail in preparation and presentation, you should look elsewhere.

Some of the best food you can find. I go for the ribs and I’m always impressed with the service. Many thanks
