Update from the My bbq blog team

On a recent rainy Atlanta afternoon, we gathered the www.mybbqblog.com braintrust to sit down and discuss our next project…a logo for the blog! But first, we needed some food for thought, so we headed over to Pig-N-Chik on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. I had the Smoked Chicken with broccoli and baked beans, while my partners sampled the beef brisket and pork plates…the food was solid as it always is. We then headed back to my buddy’s office down the street for a sit down concerning the direction of this whole thing…and I really do believe this blog is going to take off. We have been blessed with interest from Q fans all around the country to take pictures and write reviews of all types of BBQ restaurants. An old college buddy of mine just came forward with 5 new reviews along with great pics for the blog…you’ll notice a lot of new content! As the Q coursed through our systems, out minds were racing with ideas, and I believe we have a winner of a logo on our hands here. We tried to be simple and concise with the idea, while making sure to add a little spice to the logo as well. We should be getting some good mock-ups back soon, and we will unveil the logo as soon as we know it’s right.

So, stay tuned to mybbqblog.com in the coming weeks for new reviews, the epic logo and the ability to order BBQ schwag a la carte directly from the site. Thanks for reading, and tell your friends to check us out…we really do welcome any and all serious contributions!

    Brenda and I have made a pilgrimage of visiting eating establishments we have seen on Man vs. Food and Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Some before their inception, others after. Called the original “Shed” in Ocean Springs Ms. this morning. Was greeted by friendly staff who treated me more like an old friend instead of a bother. I asked if I could bring something funky to put on the shelf or hang on the wall. they said ” Sure, bring it on down. ” You have to know their history or go to their website (theshedbbq.com) to understand this. They have live blues on certain nites. It is also close to Biloxi and Gulfport which are a mecca of history and New Orleans is only an hour away The people of the gulf coast need our support. Am looking forward to loading up the bike and heading down south in Sept. Join us.
