Fox Brothers Atlanta – Short Ribs

I feel like we are always talking about Fox Brothers on the bbq blog, but these pictures speak for them selves…Are you serious????? Short ribs cooked 16 hours!! The first picture is my plate and the second pic is my buddy eating one of the 2 ribs he got on his order. I don’t have a lot of time today to blog about this because there are some Atlanta homes that must be sold…but what a great meal at Fox Brother last night…Good food (better than good), good service and great company! What more can you ask for??? Oh, and the side special for soup last night was French onion brisket…look for that at your local BBQ restaurant! You won’t find it!

Yesterday was another day blessed by a visit to The Bros … a memorable experience for the service! The food was awesome as fans have come to expect of the gentlemen Fox. However, a rare service experience is worth re-telling.

So, there we were rooting around in our ribs, pulled pork, brisket taquitos, and great sides having a piggly-wiggly good ole time when up walks what looks like a floor manager. He asks how everything is and I tell him great as usual. I close by saying that the ribs are a tad drier than past visits … uh oh! He’s off to the kitchen and back comes the meat master (steve, i think?) with a 1/2 rack. “So sorry about that,’ he say. “They may have been just a few minutes under-done … the fat may not have broken.”

Whaaaa? You want to give more more fantastic ribs because these here are simply an inch short of 100 yards of perfect? Uh, ok!

Fox Bros deserves all the rave they get for their great smoking and I couldn’t believe the dedication to quality control demonstrated yesterday. If you haven’t tried them, go! If you have, go and complain about the ribs. 🙂 But seriously, I’ve never had that kind of treatment even at white table cloth, snooty places.
