I am going there next week on a camping trip. I live in Southern Illinois (Carterville to be exact). I wanted to recommend a place in Jonesboro, Ill called Dixie BBQ. It's my all time favorite local place. I have been eating there my entire life. I think it's been there since about 1948. They have the best sauce. I saw the Drive By Truckers reference too!
